If you rule, or just want to celebrate your inner queen, this is the pin for you. In Madison's early work we discovered an "Anastasia phase". But not the Disney interpretation - Madison went right to old paintings for his source and this is why we love this queen above all others.
One of many sun interpretations from Madison's more recent work became the logo for our collaboration with the all things baby - BABY SUN. We threw down some shades from his doodles on this sun because, like you, baby got heat and lots of vibe.
Great stocking stuffer! Or, put one on the ribbon of the gift filled with Baby Sun products for your favorite new parent.
Sometimes it's less about the amount of words you have in your arsenal of communication, and more about how wisely you use your words. Make sure there's heart behind them at all times!
Madison's world is one of few words, but when he writes, we find wonderful expressions and aphorisms. Like this LESS WORDS doodle in his own lettering, placed on one of his early heart sketches. One of our most popular designs!
If you're not afraid to express yourself, metro woman is your gal. We squealed when we found this drawing - the glasses, the wild, multi-colored hair and those lips! The magic of Madison is how even his quick sketches seem to capture something so familiar without losing his edge.
Something atypical about the people and beasts he creates expresses a a beautifully diverse, super cool, and very happy place.
A true Three Pears collaboration. Team designer, Nikki, loves Madison's dreamy drawings of the many places he travels to in his books. She fell hard for one suitcase and two wings in his sketches and joined them together - clearly inspired by the energy of the great Basquiat.
A symbol of freedom and adventure, our flying suitcase pin is the perfect gift for travelers and free spirits everywhere.
Some are dancing queens, others are dancing birds.
Try our gently pear-shaped lady bird pin. She knows how to rock those curves under the disco ball. From one of Madison's very old drawings, we love the bird. Will you give the bird to a friend this holiday season? We would!
No purple rain is gonna put out these purply lights!
Madison's early drawing of a medieval candelabra shows his signature free form hand, and his always fresh view of color. Hang this waaaay throwback, groovy lighting fixture on your lapel, your bag, your hat, or in a lucky friends stocking. Makes a great tie pin for knitted ties too!
Ok, so maybe you're a little square. Or, you just love a great looking, oddly cartoonish and Gaudí-inspired element on your lapel or bag. Madison's amazing repetitive study of an old Mapuche woven square delivered 16 unique, and yet familiar avatars of the original. We've chosen one to celebrate our inner square.
Dare to wear this square? We do! Shop the whole 16 Squares collection here.
Everyone loves this pin! We found this doodle in some of Madison's old work.
You'll see it appear in many of the designs and patterns that we use on other products. Who doesn't love a pair of groovy, white sunglasses pinned to the lapel of your favorite jacket, bag, hat, collar?
Possibly a self portrait, we found this big mustachioed drawing in some of Madison's early work. When I met Mad, he had a huge, red beard and mustache. To celebrate him, his art and his sometimes striking viking whiskers we gave this pin a deep red hair color. Viva el Bigotudo!
No one does friendship like Three Pears does friendship. We were inspired by Madison's love of time on the farm, and especially the goats. One exceptionally difficult day he expressed frustration by ripping a goat pillow sample right in two!
That must have been soooo satisfying. We decided to tell the story by creating a replica of his goat art torn in two pieces- each with its own pin. Even when times are tough, we need each other. Wear both, or give half to a friend!
